These few weeks so far have been some very challenging weeks. You know what, we are strong, and we can withstand adversity when it comes our way, if we choose too. The thing we must remember is, we will get through this, and it's very important for us to watch what comes out of our mouths. We have to change our perspectives, so our lives can change. Hey Y'all...I apologize about the late episode. When I tell you, your girl has been busy, I have been busy, busy!! The COVID-19 has  everything changing from me working from home, and my kids are out of school for a few weeks. This episode is me expressing how wiped out and over-whelmed I've been feeling. Happy Thursday!! Self-Control- 'the ability to control oneself, in particular, ones emotions and desires or the expression of them in ones behavior especially in difficult situations."-Google, 2020. I get it, we're human, people make us mad, and at the same time we do things to others and make them mad too, it's all a part of life. One thing we can do that will benefit us tremendously is, learn the art of self-control. No one in this world should be able to take you out of character, and make you lose your power. Your power, and strength comes from knowing yourself and having control of you. Please understand that you, my friend, cannot control or change anyone but yourself! Stop giving your power away to people who have shown you that they cannot  control their lives or their emotions.  At the end of the day, Oprah said it well "All is well, and all will be well no matter what."  Have a great weekend!!

Hey y'all hey!!! So many times we forget why we are doing something. Why are we so invested in things that we don't have a meaning behind why we are invested? We could be wasting our time participating in things that we shouldn't. Life is what you make it. It can be hard, or you can have the mindset that you can get through whatever as long as God is on your side. Whenever you find yourself in a difficult situation, get your emotions out of the way, and think yourself through the situation. All things get better in time. Every now and again we need to just stop and think. There is nothing wrong with taking a moment to think before we make a move. I personally believe when we move with intention, we make our lives better. That's the whole point right? To make our lives better! Ep6 Stop & Think; What's your intention?

The responsibility of raising kids can be unbareable as a single parent. Could you imagine meeting someone, marrying that person, and he/she is now helping you raise kids that they never gave birth too, or helped make?? Can we say yes, lawd!! Give credit where credit is due!! So, now that you have help raising your kids, don't forget to throw away all expectations, communicate with your spouse about everything, and keep your kids in check! My family is blended, but you wouldn't know if I didn't tell you. If you are the step-parent, please make sure you're doing right and treating all the kids the same. Hey Y'all Hey!! There are times in life where we start something and then leave it alone, but let someone else ask us to do something for them,  we get it done, and get it done quickly! Why is that? We have to stop sleeping on ourselves, dreams, and passions, and get back to that thing that we said we were going to do. Yeah, we started it, so why are we already getting comfortable? Ep4: Get Back to It!

Life is too hard and harsh at times. We need to remember to celebrate every chance we get. There's no need to sit around feeling bad about what we're going through. Find a babysitter, get dressed, and go dance the night away! I don't know about you, but I like the "fun" version of myself more than I like the "frustrated" version of myself. Remember it's our responsibility to check ourselves at all times. That means, we cannot hold anyone hostage to making us feel better! Go celebrate something about yourself!!
