Have you ever made a decision that you knew was the right one but instantly following you were overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety, doubt, remorse, or apprehension?  Same. For me it actually happened right after purchasing my wedding dress *gulp*. Sometimes, we do not have capacity to do the grounding and preparation before going into a situation and if you're like me, this can lead to lots of confusing feelings afterward that can be super difficult to settle.  If you have - or are - experiencing this (what I am calling the "discernment hangover") this episode for you.  I'm going into why it happens, what it means, and practical steps you can take to navigate these murky waters back to feeling confident and aligned in your decision.

Today, I'm getting ultra-vulnerable sharing my journey into sobriety:  What it was like;  What happened;  And what it's like now.  March 22, 2020 marks 7 years walking this path and I am so incredibly full of gratitude that today, I get a life. Also a crazy note, when recording this I decided to have a cup of my favourite tea, and the weight on the can was 222g. Then I realized, this episode is 22:22 long recorded on March 22. I decided to look up the numbers . . . 222 - A combination of "2" signifying balance and "22" which is the number of the Master Builder. It is a number that guides you to move forward in harmony and faith as you build toward your soul's desire. And 2222? A message from your angels to keep faith and trust everything will work out. WAY TOO FITTING. Let's dive in.

Have you noticed the influx of entrepreneurs posting about their morning hour long meditation, followed by 2 hours of intention-setting while watching this beautiful sunrise on the balcony of whatever Air BnB they are working remotely from for this month, in some tropical, humid location?  **eye roll** Same. How many of you are actually living that life?  Nope? Double same. And to be honest, I don't actually want to.  What I do want is to feel like the life I am leading is sustainable, engaging, and supports me to do my best, day to day.  This is why today Aly and I are diving into all things self-care. We talk about the self-care band aid (you know, those things that in the moment provide relief but long-term aren't necessarily working toward building an overall state of grounding or peacefulness - like showering at the end of a long day) and how to create an intentional self-care practice that serves you, where you're at, right now.  And if you're anything like me, the "right now" is probably something more like trying to marinade chicken for tomorrow's lunch, while folding laundry, and writing this episode description . . .  Let's do this.

Anyone else here read the book Attached? Same.  Anyone else here test "Anxious Attachment" or even "Anxious Avoidant" depending who you were dating when you took that test (and yes, that's right - my results have changed in different contexts)?  Anyone feel personally victimized by Re - Just kidding . . .  Today, I am diving into why these anxious defaults come out especially in a long distance relationship (or during a distance-time of a relationship that usually has proximity in its favour) and some top tips for quieting the anxieties and beginning to cure your anxious attachment default.  Fully honest, this episode in particular is something I am extremely passionate about because it was one of THE BIGGEST shifts I made in my own life and partnership, and I cannot wait to share this with you!

This episode was a hard one to get out. Reason being, I had initially planned a different topic but with the wedding planning in full-swing, that other topic just was not clicking for me.  So I scrapped the plan and instead dove into something that is top of mind for me right now; And something I hope you will find helpful and that will resonate for you in some way.  Today we are talking all about boundaries: Who they're for, how to maintain them, and what to do when they aren't respected and (almost inevitably) lead to resentment.

Hello, my name is Natalie and I am a recovering Catholic.  Seriously though, when I began my journey into this spiritual/self-help/alignment community I had no f*cking clue who was on the other end of my prayers and meditations.  Ask the universe for truth? Okay, but what does that even mean? What or who is listening and how are they going to show me the answers?  I felt lost, and I was terrified that this meant I would slip back into my former way of existence and I knew that could not happen.  There is a lot to unpack on that journey but for today, I am sharing the one foundational step that made all the difference for me on my journey to connecting with my higher power and building that understanding.
