We’re probably all guilty of it, especially after being forced to spend almost two years in the virtual world, the virtual meetings, especially if they aren’t attention-grabbing or interactive! One thing at a time. FOCUS. Being fully present can be difficult for people. Listen in today as I share how I helped a client develop strategies for he and his teammates so they could learn to switch gears quickly, without frustration and be fully present for whatever they were facing at the moment. Because time is money and if you’re NOT doing things that are a good use of your time, remembering that you’re also wasting your money. I also talked ideas to look into to get the help you need that may not require you to use your money! Today, as we kick-off the first week of October, and the 4th quarter, I asked financial advisor, Beth Correll to talk about how important it is to also do a financial check-in, and the things to look at to save money. As you continue to progress toward your goals, doing a financial progress check is important, as many times your goals affect your finances and vice versa. And many of us may have financial goals as well. No matter if you are currently working with a financial advisor or not, you should be doing more than balancing your checkbook! Looking deeper into making sure you and your business are properly protected is something I discuss with ALL of my clients. Yes, that very necessary thing, but hard to do! Next week we start the 4th quarter, so the countdown is on, so look at "if", "how," and, "how much" you will LEVEL-UP! If you’re doing work that isn’t at your pay rate, how is it helping you? Listen in today as I talk more about that damn to-do list and why it's so important to see what's STILL on it, what's NOT getting done and, also what IS getting done, but WHO should be doing it. We’ve all heard the phrase: “It takes money to make money.” And, that is SO TRUE! But I've also read that it does NOT. Well, TIME is MONEY. And if you're using your time to do things that are not a good use of YOUR time, then you're wasting your money! Trust me, I’m guilty of it! And yes, like many things, easier said than done to have all the help you need at the snap of your fingers! I know I would! So, what on your list would take money to get done? What would it take for you to get someone to help? Listen in as I share about two of my clients who have a very good idea of what it will take to get their businesses off the ground and what they're doing about it.  They know they can't do it all, nor should they! And yes, there are ways to get the help you need without paying someone. Think about an intern and that infamous concept of TRADE. Today I may go on  a bit about when you DO let go of the tasks you don’t need to be doing, it opens up the space for you to work ON your business, to focus on growth and strategy and well, making more money! Welcome to week 286!  Last Monday’s podcast was about BURNOUT! It happens quite a bit, and I just saw it last week in my networking group. Remember when I talked about the guy who has been snarky because he had only been sleeping 2-4 hours/night? Well, now he's SICK! That's what happens! There’s a fine line between really needing to work your ass off one more hour or multiple sleepless nights to get something completed, and that you’re just overdoing it. As I mentioned last Monday – if you’re burning the candle at both ends, what will it cost you? My men’s group last week discussed this, and I share in today's podcast about what they all have in common, and how it is hard to create healthier boundaries. And, well, why people tend not to! I’ve had it ALL happen to me! What about you? If you’re flying solo, that probably means you’re “doing it all” and are at risk of burn-out. I've been there too! It goes back to clear expectations and taking the time NOW to make more time for you LATER. Asking for help. It’s hard. It’s frustrating. It doesn’t always work out. We don't tend to do it well... or at all, including me! And, for the sake of sounding like a broken record... is what you're doing too much? And, at what cost? We may have been on the right track, but were we just sitting there? These are two of the hardest things for people to do in general, NOT just business owners! Especially those pesky notifications that are addictive and have made us all like Pavlov’s dog! They keep us from being able to FOCUS! FOCUS IS my favorite (ok 2nd favorite) F-Word! In this week's podcast I share how I challenged someone on LinkedIN to create healthier boundaries and I hope you'll do the same after you listen in! And this discussion leads me to what happens when you don’t have a healthy environment and your boundaries SUCK.  UNHEALTHY BOUNDARIES and an UNSUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT devalues YOU... and causes a lack of RESPECT! How? Well, you'll have to listen in to find out! Last week my week got thrown off – yes – AGAIN! How? Well, I guess you'll have to listen in, but as you can imagine, I allowed shit to invade my time. One was something I wouldn't ever say NO to [hint... my child] and the other shit, I just allowed, but didn't realize it until I started getting frustrated!
