The Power of Words

It's been a busy week and I've gotten up earlier than normal this week, in order just to come in and get things done at the office and it kind of occurred to me there are a lot of things at home that have gone undone and for some reason it's harder to get up early and get those things done. It's easier to come into the office for some reason.

We asked what causes Disharmony in the homes of these individuals... I'd have to say it was if the kids don't all have the same thing. Clutter causes disharmony in our home Kids arguing... Like I might think something is not as important as my husband does...

Answering Jesus’ Prayer

I think of a couple that I know where she complains that he has too much free time by himself and he complains that she wants to do stuff with him, and so they end up just doing their own thing most of the time.

Selfishness

On our honeymoon, the airport security pulled me aside after scanning the luggage...and they found a pie server, which was really long and pointed...looked like a knife. They said, What are you doing with this? Are you sure this doesn't open? And they kept stickin' it in my face! And I said, No, I said, it's just a souvenir!

Well, we can't really number our days, because tomorrow isn't promised to us, so today could actually be our last day.

I would say the most difficut time in our marriage was when we experienced the miscarriage of our first child. Although it was difficult, it definitely drew us closer together.

We had a lot of experience trying to get away with things. We'd maybe try to do things behind our folks' back or by telling my parents that I did not understand their expectations.

There's some students that we need to encourage to be more involved in school activities, but there's others that we need to pull the brakes in on them and slow them down a little bit.

No One Does It All

Growing up, my family went out to eat often. And so when we first got married, we didn't have much money, so therefore I had to adjust to eating at home more often.

Adjustments

What do you look for in a church? I got two kids, so somethin' to deal with youth. A place where we can serve effectively, followed by more of a psychological/philosophical fit. I'm a musician, so I would look for a church that has a really quality music program.

Finding A Church Home

We asked this woman what it means to fear God... I think it's a reverent fear like we have for our parents, that if we don't obey Him, He has the power and the authority to...put our souls in Hell. So I fear Hell. I fear His authority to put me there if I don't obey.

Fearing God

"Waking up late causes me stress." "Something that causes me stress is indecision." "Lots of times when my house is a total mess. I've got lots of things to do, thank yous to write, and I can't seem to find the time."

Good Stress

When I was young, Monday was my favorite day, because my dad's day off was on Monday. So he would let me go along with him and do all the errands, and my dad spent time with me.
