Alan earned an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a bachelor’s in Telecommunications.  In 2009 Alan interned with the PGA Tour as a writer for Golf Week Magazine in Orlando, FL.  And in 2012 Alan turned pro and landed a 6-month sponsorship to play on the mini-tour circuit of Central and Southern Florida. At the conclusion of the sponsorship he returned to work as a Millwright construction engineer for Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI.  Alan started coaching and playing competitively in his free time with victories on both local and national levels including winning the Detroit Am Open in 2017 and 2019.
