Letting Go of Shiny Object Syndrome ft. Brandon Cordoba - #152

I have found that one of the biggest things that sets apart those who really get to capitalize on their dreams and ambitions and those who fizzle out early on is consistency and follow through. I would like to define each of these very quickly for you.ConsistencyBeing able to stick to a plan for growth and provide a predictable yet useful offering on a consistent basis. Showing up to work on time every day shows you are consistent, and it suggests that you are on the path to becoming the best _____________ that you can be. So much of the battle comes down to this question, "Are you able to show keep showing up?"Follow-ThroughFollow-Through goes right along with consistency. It includes the commitment that you are making to yourself and to others to achieve and work your best towards a specific result or output. Someone with fantastic follow-through says they will make something happen, and then they do. They are likely an elite performer of life. Truly this is a trait worth pursuing.Professionals are able to deliver consistently and with a high degree of follow-through. The best basketball players shoot towards the basket and then also put themselves in a position to follow through on their shot when they miss. This is exactly what I have not been doing lately.With that all said though I am learning and trying to get better. I know that with time and as I improve my systems, ways of thinking, etc. I will surely improve in this area and be able to give more bountifully than I ever have. From Zero to One: Thoughts on Consistency and Follow-Through - #149

Yesterday I woke up WAY too early and decided to go on a run. While I was on the run, and shortly after, I had some thoughts come together that I thought may be worth making a podcast episode about. As always I hope it is helpful in some way. :)1.  You just need to get up this hill. If you are on the right path it will always be uphill.2.  All of the good stuff you are doing is preparing you for better things. 3.  Everyone has their own individual journey we know little about, empathy is the key.I know that I have really been slacking with the uploads lately. Being SO consistent for nearly a year (2 episodes a week) and then struggling to edit one interview and keep up the schedule has led to some feeling of inadequacy, fear, etc. On top of that I am also finishing up my old gaming YouTube channel, TanookiToadTeam this weekend so my attention has been riveted to that more than it has been in a while. I am bouncing back though. I know that I haven&apos;t been super consistent lately but I am trying and imagining a comeback and being able to help you all out more and help this community grow. 3 Useful Thoughts From My 4:30 AM Run - #148

You may have noticed that I haven&apos;t uploaded an episode in a week!? What is going on?!?!?!I have been learning a lot about how the time, money, and energy that I have in my life are all limited.Doing an internship, classes, podcasting, and streaming on the side is a decent load to carry. Not to mention there are still some other important things I haven&apos;t gotten to finish yet.With a bitter-sweetness in my soul, I would like to announce that I will be finishing up my gaming channel (s) for the time being starting on October 16 (a week from today). That venture has blessed my life immeasurably but as far as my future goes I think the podcast deserves WAY more time investment. The best is yet to come, that&apos;s for sure.I also have been working on an interview I recorded recently but it still is not ready to upload. My process with editing those needs to change as I have recently changed the platform I use to record them and that is a bridge I have yet to cross (even though I really need to soon!)So yeah it&apos;s been a bit frustrating... at least you guys get an episode breaking it down. I hope that it is helpful for you. :)

3 Lessons I Learned Working at Pizza Hut - #145

I have been really struggling to edit a podcast interview I recently did. The stress from it has exposed the fact that I am in a hole of sorts right now - a hole I want to get out of.In this episode I talked about some of the things I am struggling with right now and learning from the struggle.I am very sorry that I missed the deadline for both podcast episodes this week.
