I still remember making my first lakh. I was dating my current partner, and we were walking through the circles of Connaught Place. He'd asked me, how much money do I make and said, something like INR 50-60k a month. And at the back of my mind wondering, "the day I start making a lakh, I will get a house close to his college and we will stay together." And the day it happened (in like 2-3 months), I cannot tell you the kind of joy and ecstasy I felt. I will never forget that feeling. Which is why I also know how as an Indian Entrepreneur what value One Lakh Rupees holds for us. It is always deeply emotional and many of our dreams are attached to it. Episode 42: Money Pushing Beliefs

This is me at my vulnerable best. This is where I talk about how Queerness is not just a bio-psycho-social trait but is often the epicentre from where the rest of your life and everything you create within it will eventually radiate. Although it took time for me to realise how my queerness was so intricately woven into the kind of work I do, I now understand that if I do not bring the experience of my queerness to my coaching, I will be depriving the world of an exquisite lens. I will be depriving my students of the courage and faith to be different. I will be depriving them of a life of diversity, the fact that their children’s brains and their brains could be different, the fact that consistency doesn’t mean being self critical for enjoying life, that money is not only for the white world, we equally deserve and demand it, that fate/god/universe is not unfair but an equaliser. It chooses diversity because it wants the planet to evolve. And that we live in a universe where love is the only ingredient that we can hold in our bodies to stand in our truth. Episode 41: I am Queer, so are you.

And this is where I talk about integrating the inner experience of our father with respect to how the father wound affects our business and our stories of success and failure. As Bert Hellinger, the founder of Family Constellation, says: If mother is the one who brings us into this world, our father is the one who take us out into the world. Which is why when we have a fractured inner experience of our father, or when the bond between the two is compromised, we find it difficult to move out into the world. We find it difficult to inhabit the world of men. We find it confusing to take charge and process our volatile emotions. We find it painful to walk the path of success. And there is a reason as to why this happens. That is because we have hidden loyalties via which we continue to experience what we often reject in our father. Episode 40: F for Financial Freedom, F for Father

I talk a lot about thought work and aligning your thoughts with the results you want. I do it through DTB (Deliberate Thought Building Process). And I also talk a lot about taking action, putting yourself out there, making offers, and selling actively. However, many of us think that in order to make money, close consultation calls, make offers, we constantly have to keep performing. We must be productive every single day, talk to people, write our copies, do relentless marketing and this must happen whether we feel inspired or not. This must happen whether our thoughts and feelings are aligned or not. And perhaps this is the only way, because there is no other way to make the money. As they all say, 'no pain, no gain.' And in this episode today, I am going to contest and challenge that. Recently I made a lot of money in a single month, without much sweat and grime work. And I was about to shame myself for not doing enough, and just then I caught myself. In this episode, I bring that experience and show you how sometimes we only need to inhabit the thought world and only align our energies to that of the result. And doing that much is enough. Episode 34: M for Million, M for Mother

I am a huge proponent of clean eating leads to clean thinking. Just because we are entrepreneurs, doesn't mean that we have to compromise on our diet, exercise, gut health and internal homeostasis. For example, I make sure that my flour and sugar consumption throughout the day is minimum. I make sure that I exercise 90 minutes a day for 5 days a week. And I keep talking about it across social media as well as inside ATEPS. And I advocate how clean eating leads to clean thinking and that leads to more focussed choices and decisions, which eventually makes more money. I am able to serve my clients better via clean eating. I am able to come up with high quality cognition and high value thoughts for the creation of coaching content and modules for my clients.  So, one of our students/clients asked me if I could do a podcast on Clean Eating and Clean Thinking. And I immediately said yes. The only name that came to my mind who I could invite to this episode as a guest was of my friend and colleague, Sreevardane Sivasankar. Sreevardane is a  Functional Medicine Coach and Gut Health Expert. The way she explains how gut health is the master seat of our neurological functioning is incredible. She breaks down the whole complex web of how our day to day food habits affect our gut microbiome. Sometime back I had put up a post on Instagram where I talked about things that you don't need in order to become a Life Coach or. a Healer. Because guess what? We tell ourselves all kinds of lies when it comes to selling coaching and healing. We think we need fancy degrees, fully functional websites, 100K audience on Instagram, social media presence and what not! But the real ingredients of being a Paid Life Coach or a Healer are somewhat different and not talked about often. And that's what I do in this episode. Which is why the second half of this episode will feel like a mini training, where I guide you through 5 important points that you need to exercise and believe if you want to make money.  And they are: 1. The Power to Recognize your Desire 2. Not Waiting for an Approval but going headlong into it. 3. Making Offers and being ready to receive NOs. 4. Giving people 100% of what I have.  5. Be wiling to have fun and ask people if they'd like it too. If you apply just these 5 points, nothing today can stop you from signing up your first client or maybe if you already are a practicing coach, nothing should stop you from having a fully booked calendar. Episode 30: Imperatives you Need in order to become a PAID Life Coach

29th is my birth-date. And I wanted to bring something stunning and special for you on the 29th episode. So, this is one of the most powerful episodes in You Are Money that I had been planning for the longest time. We have different notions around what does it take to be a Powerful Coach, a successful one, a coach that makes big money. And we often think that only a few people in the world can have the privilege to dream about it, to achieve it. We give ourself reasons like: 1. I am from a small city. No one knows about coaching here. 2. I don't have enough audience size.  3. No one is going to pay me that much 'here.' 4. Why would people want to work with me instead of a licensed psychologist? 5. I don't have a formal degree or training. And many many more. You get the gist, right? And I always say this inside ATEPS, that my willingness to think about my environment in the way 'I want to think about,' is going to determine the results that I am going experience. For example, if I told myself that in order to be successful and make money, I cannot NOT be a medical doctor. That it's not possible to be a coach or an alternative practitioner and make money, I wouldn't have experienced the richness and abundance of life that I am experiencing today. I wouldn't have positively affected so many lives and made the brilliant contributions that I am able to make today - all because I chose to believe in what I wanted to BE. So, in today's episode I wanted to bring three of my brilliant coaches from inside ATEPS who are practitioners based in Guwahati, and I wanted to show to the world that how they are a living example of What is Possible? They are a living example of breaking out of socialized norms of  what we call "stable career choices," salaried stable income, or conventional practice of psychotherapy. In the conversation that I have with them, I literally had to take a step back and think how much of our success as any kind of coach is so heavily influenced by what we think other people will think about us. What we think other people will imagine, wonder and say about us. And the truth is, the day we decide that other people's thoughts come from their brain and not ours, we begin to bloom and flourish.
