Rory grew up on a remote island in the British Isles, and as a result some supplies were delivered via helicopter, Rory would watch these helicopters fly in and ever since then has dreamed of becoming a pilot himself. But as such is life, the opportunity had not presented itself to Rory and he went on to have a successful career working at the BBC, until recently when a once in a lifetime decision and opportunity presented itself. We chat about how to go about becoming pilot, from exams to flying lessons, to the type of careers available once you qualify. A really great chat for anyone that wants to take to the skies.
