RAIN is a mindfulness technique that aims to mollify the intensity of negative emotions, help you regain self-control, avoid regretful and hurtful actions, and turn you into a master of challenging situations. RAIN is to be employed while in the midst of an emotional storm. How To Wash Away Emotional Pain With R.A.I.N

Unpredictability and change is the law the governs the events we experience every day. We cannot predict, influence, or prevent them.  But does that make us slaves to randomness and chaos?  No. While we cannot influence the universe, we can influence how we respond to it. And it is how we chose to react to the hand we are dealt, which sets our lives down our individually unique paths.   However, many live with only the illusion of autonomy over our reactions. We allow negative experiences to "make" us emotional, angry, and confrontational. In turn, we take rash action and project our emotions, often causing confrontations; creating unnecessary pain and suffering for both ourselves and others.  Knowing how to react to emotionally charging events opens the gate to true autonomy over your life. It can protect your mental health, help you make logical decisions, and save your relationships from conflict and turmoil brought on by your hand.  It was a skill revered by the stoic philosopher Marcus Aurelius, and today, you, too, will take the first steps to cultivate it; for the sake of yourself, your life, and those who mean the most to you.

How to Cultivate Creativity

Everyday we face small, but significant, challenging and frustrating events that irritate us, anger us, and ultimately compromise our ability to remain calm and positive. Situations like being talked down to, cut off in traffic, given the wrong order; but these events will happen to us all the time, and we can get as mad, annoyed, and angry as we want, it will not change the fact that there is nothing we can do to stop these events from negatively impacting our lives. Perspective not only helps us realize when our negative reactions to unchangeable events are compromising our well-being, but allows us to reconceptualize the events into positive and constructive ones. Cultivating Perspective

Bravery is the strength that overcomes anxiety, procrastination, and fear. Without it, we would never push ourselves, heal from mental illness, or accomplish our most desired goals. Everyday-bravery is the ability to remain productive and mindful through uncomfortable, anxiety-producing events.
