I know this is not the case for everyone but if you do not have a good relationship with your family the holidays can be tough, at least they are for me. I talk about what happened during Thanksgiving and how I protected my mental health. I talk about self care and prioritizing your time and having an escape plan or putting time limits on events especially if you are a busy person. I also talk about some frugal ideas for gifts for those who are rolling on a budget. DEALING WITH YOUR FAMILY ON THE HOLIDAYS W/ KARINA REYES

On today's episode of Get Deep Inside (@getdeepsinside) I speak with accountant/comedian Mike Spettel (@spike_mettel). We discuss what drove him to accounting, I guessed it had something to do with being Jewish, you will have to listen to find out. How he got started in comedy and then we get deep inside and talk about the heavier subjects, alcoholism. Mike was very open and honest about his struggle with alcohol and how just last year he started going into recovery. Surprisingly doing  a different drug known as DMT was what helped him get clean. I've never taken this drug but from all the people I've heard speak of this, it makes you really quit anything that you have trouble with whether it's cocaine or in this instance alchohol. If you are struggling or know you have an issue with alcohol or any drug this is the episode for you. It doesn't get realer and I admire Mike for this. 

HOW I BECAME SOBER W/ MIKE SPETTEL

On this weeks episode of the podcast Get Deep Inside (IG:getdeepinsidepodcast) I interview comedian, momma, Ashleigh Shapiro (IG:officialashleigh). We start of talking about where we met. Ashleigh and I were taking the same stand up class and we met through an email where we discussed carpooling to our semifinal comedy competition. Even though we had just met and were each others competition we rooted for each other and that is where this friendship began. We discuss all things comedy as well as being a mom and we talk about how she met her husband. It's a juicy story that will have you laughing. We talk about her start in Florida, how her comedy led to begin on the bad girls club. We discuss the #metoo movement in comedy, writing jokes, how to market yourself, mental health, and how she sent her act to Deon Cole and then a very similar joke showed up on his new Netflix special. In this episode I speak with comedian Ryan Maza(@ryanmaza_). We discuss his childhood and growing up with an alcoholic parent. HOW TO NAVIGATE THE COMEDY WATERS W/ ERIK ESCOBAR

In this week's episode I interview the lead guitarist, lyricist, and singer of the band Clone Hero (@clone_hero) and my former ex boyfriend Richard Lopez (@fatoftheman). As some of you know it has been a rollercoaster of a relationship. We start from the beginning, how we first met, the worldwind romance we had and how it slowly started to go downhill when external forces started to get involved. We also discuss our own personal mental health journeys and how that has added to the relationship as well as our recent reconnection that happened after I had been in two car accidents. We have started attending couples counseling as our last resort to see if we can make it work and if not to go our separate ways.
