In this episode I explain about the three UK laws which Disney thinks are the most important; and what they mean in practical terms for businesses, services and Assistance Dog handlers. I'll be talking about the Equality Act 2010, Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Anti-discrimination Act 1991. (Disney tells me that this sounds like really boring stuff but it's also really important stuff. This is a recording of the talk given by Dr Sue Dyson: Head of Clinical Orthopedics at the Animal Health Trust at the Endurance GB Welfare Conference.  The talk was illustrated with videos throughout - which cannot be seen on a podcast!  However, most of the commentary is self explanatory and Dr Dyson gives really helpful guidance on how to spot lameness in your horse.  So despite the lack of video content I decided the talk was still worth posting.

I was lucky enough to be asked to help out at Royal Windsor Horse Show this May. In my free time I managed to grab interviews with Roly Owers from World Horse Welfare; Karen Thompson (mum of Hovis the Destroyer); Gemma Waller of Bransby Horse Rescue and Belinda Davis of Equissage. All interviews were recorded live at a very busy event and in slightly dodgy weather, so the sound quality is unfortunately variable.  And of course, as always, I finish with this month's fun fact!

This is a recording of a talk given by Tom Eaton Evans at the Endurance GB Welfare Conference on 25th May 2019. Tom is a Newmarket Equine Hospital veterinarian; 4* FEI Endurance treatment official and 2* FEI endurance veterinarian.With the recent Equine Flu outbreaks having caused chaos across all sorts of events this Spring; Tom's talk is a timely reminder of the routines which can be put in place to protect our horses and those of others.

Whilst the main focus is on endurance riding, many of the episodes will also be of general interest to equestrians in other disciplines.SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF THE HOST: Bryony is the 2018 UK Reserve National Para Endurance Champion and has competed for many years with both Pony Club and Endurance GB. She is also a ride organiser and the Young Rider Rep to the Para Endurance Committee of EGB. (She has an assistance dog called Disney - who might show up in some episodes where she is not really assisting!)
