Heather is the founder and director of the Minded Institute, an organization that trains professionals and develops and researches innovative methods for mental health treatment based on the fusion of yoga therapy, mindfulness techniques, neuroscience, physiology and psycho-therapy. She is also the founder of the Yoga Health Care Alliance, which integrates yoga into healthcare — a movement gaining increasing traction in the UK, with Prince Charles writing a welcome address underlining the fact that yoga has a place in healthcare to open the Yoga In Healthcare Alliance conference which Heather spearheaded in February 2019. In 2018, Heather was nominated as the secretariat representative for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Yoga in Society, and continues to raise the profile of yoga within the clinical arena. Bruce H. Lipton, PhD is an internationally recognized leader in bridging science and spirit. Stem cell biologist, bestselling author of The Biology of Belief and recipient of the 2009 Goi Peace Award, he has been a guest speaker on hundreds of TV and radio shows, as well as keynote presenter for national and international conferences. Dr. Lipton began his scientific career as a cell biologist. He received his Ph.D. Degree from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville before joining the Department of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin’s School of Medicine in 1973. Dr. Lipton’s research on muscular dystrophy, studies employing cloned human stem cells, focused upon the molecular mechanisms controlling cell behavior. An experimental tissue transplantation technique developed by Dr. Lipton and colleague Dr. Ed Schultz and published in the journal Science was subsequently employed as a novel form of human genetic engineering. In 1982, Dr. Lipton began examining the principles of quantum physics and how they might be integrated into his understanding of the cell’s information processing systems. He produced breakthrough studies on the cell membrane, which revealed that this outer layer of the cell was an organic homologue of a computer chip, the cell’s equivalent of a brain. His research at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, between 1987 and 1992, revealed that the environment, operating though the membrane, controlled the behavior and physiology of the cell, turning genes on and off. His discoveries, which ran counter to the established scientific view that life is controlled by the genes, presaged one of today’s most important fields of study, the science of epigenetics. Two major scientific publications derived from these studies defined the molecular pathways connecting the mind and body. Many subsequent papers by other researchers have since validated his concepts and ideas. Dr. Lipton’s novel scientific approach transformed his personal life as well. His deepened understanding of cell biology highlighted the mechanisms by which the mind controls bodily functions, and implied the existence of an immortal spirit. He applied this science to his personal biology, and discovered that his physical well-being improved, and the quality and character of his daily life was greatly enhanced. Dr. Lipton has taken his award-winning medical school lectures to the public and is currently a sought after keynote speaker and workshop presenter. He lectures to conventional and complementary medical professionals and lay audiences about leading-edge science and how it dovetails with mind-body medicine and spiritual principles. QYP 58: Dr. Bruce Lipton on the Biology of Belief, Stem Cells and the Subconscious

William F. Bengston is a professor of statistics and research methods at St. Joseph’s College in New York, and the President of the Society for Scientific Exploration, an international group of scientists who study anomalies. Dr. Bengston has been doing research into anomalous healing for over thirty five years, and has numerous academic publications. His memoir, The Energy Cure, is published by Sounds True Publishers. He has also lectured widely in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Dr. Bengston’s research has produced the first successful full cures of transplanted mammary cancer and methylcholanthrene induced sarcomas in mice by energy healing techniques that he helped to develop. He is currently the executive editor of the peer-reviewed journal Explore: The Journal of Science and Healing. He was a co-founder of the Dallas Diagnostic Association and is former Chief of Staff of Medical City Dallas Hospital. After graduating with high honors from the University of Texas at Austin, he received his M. D. degree from Southwestern Medical School (Dallas) in 1967. Following internship he served as a battalion surgeon in Vietnam in 1968-9, where he was decorated for valor. In 1988 he delivered the annual Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Lecture in New Delhi, India, the only physician ever invited to do so. Dr. Dossey is the former co-chairman of the Panel on Mind/Body Interventions, National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, National Institutes of Health. As a “legal drug dealer”, he witnessed first-hand, many clients going home with bags full of drugs each month, rarely getting better and usually going on to suffer from other diseases. Patrick is a biologist and began my professional carrier as a searcher in the biophysics lab of VUB and vegetal physiology lab of ULB, in the Université Libre de BRUXELLES. The purpose of his research was the study of membrane potential of photosynthetic bacteria. At the end of his university travel, he improved my learning of computers and electronics while working as technical support in an computer company. Then, Patrick spend 17 years as managing director of a rest home specially dedicated to life ending therapies and care to patients affected by Alzheimer’s disease or different types of dementia. QYP 49: Patrick Botte on Cranial Sacral Waves, Heart Rate Variability and Tomatis Frequencies

Through the years, Dan Winter has lectured on the evolution of consciousness, sacred geometry and coherent emotion at many national and international conferences. His theories in coherent emotion inspired the notable research at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo and the Heart Math Institute in California in the mid-nineties. Results published by Dr. Glen Rein provided conclusive evidence supporting Dan’s heart entrainment theories. As thousands of hearts are connected, a database records and displays heartbeats registering the signature for compassion (via the Internet). By focusing our collective intention through compassion around the planet, the evidence suggests many possibilities, such as atmospheric repair and stabilization. This concept demonstrates the collective power of how hearts entrained with the feeling of compassion can reshape our world, a truly empowering phenomenon and perhaps a turning point in our conscious evolution. Dan is seeking investment capital for developing the “Heartbeat Earth Project” and a suite of interactive biofeedback computer games for children using this principle. Dan draws on many sources, including science, mythology, popular culture, and even channeled information, looking for ideas about the deep connectedness of all things and how the profound nature of our oneness can be approached from architecture or art, math or biology, electronics/computers or myth. With a powerful sense of the bridges between worlds, Dan has a talent for both poetry and rigor in his language and his twinkling eyes energy.
