Darragh goes into great depths into his own experiences with mental illness and what lead him to change careers into an empowerment coach. Darragh speaks about the lifestyle he was living in order to ‘mask’ the pain from friends and family and how this along with missing home provoked negative thoughts about himself. In this episode we sat down with former NRL player and founder of mental health movement, Dan Hunt. Dan was an awesome guy to have a chat with about his own raw and inspiring story with mental illness and bi polar, those who helped him through those times including his wife and NRL coach Wayne Bennett, major injury which was brought underlying problems that Dan had not faced, to the surface and how he now maintains a healthy mental state.

In this weeks episode we sit down with A league and Socceroos legend Archie Thompson. Archie is one of the most humble, down to earth and honest guy we've had the pleasure to speak to. We talk to Archie about his current situation being in lockdown in Melbourne, how it has affected him and his family and steps he has in place to ensure a healthy mind. Archie dives into his experiences with mental health particularly in his final year of soccer and the scary reality that set in when sport no longer acted as a coping mechanism for him which resulted to alcohol use and suicidal thoughts. Archie continues to describe what helped him get back to a healthy mindset and lifestyle.An inspiring man with an inspiring story!

Dylan talks about his lived experience with mental health, the cycle that he got in which he thought was 'normal' which led to an attempted suicide. He speaks openly about his great relationship with his dad, how his aspect on life and footy has changed and all the great work he is doing in the community!

In this episode of Turn up the talk, the boys sit down with AFLW star Jess Hosking. Jess speaks openly about her battles growing up with mental health and how her self image played a big part in her life. Jess talks about the importance of support networks , how opening up in conversation about her own image helped improve her mental health. We spoke about her current situation with being in lockdown in Melbourne, upcoming events for AFLW and her career goals. Was an awesome chat and definitely not one to miss!

In this episode we sat down with MMA legend Mark 'SuperSamoan' Hunt. Mark dived into his experiences with mental health and working through problems growing up in a rough environment. Mark was very open about his battles outside of the octagon, including his current law suits with the UFC. He touches on the importance of support networks and the rewards he received mentally after speaking openly about his battles. Mark also gave us an insight into his upcoming fights in the near future!

In this season 2 launcher the boys sit down with an Inspirational Carmen Greentree. Carmen (A former pro surfer) opens up about her childhood surfing and what it was like to surf with some of the best athletes the world has seen. Growing up with a mental health illness Carmen used surfing as her escape. At such a young age of 22, Carmen travelled to India in search of inner peace after leaving unresolved experiences in her childhood, only to be captured and held hostage in India for two months. Carmen explains the trauma she suffered from the continued mental and physical abuse endured over the two month period and how she grew and continues to grow and heal as a person. A truly inspiring and moving story.
