When I recorded this episode I had lost 50 pounds, more than ever, and I had a goal of losing 100 total within the year. That's probably twice as much as I should have lost. I think when I spoke with my cardiologist a few weeks ago, he said something like 3 or 4 pounds a month. So my goal of a pound a week is right in there. Last week I had a couple of COVID symptoms. I had some nausea and even though I had slept seven or eight hours the previous night, by mid-afternoon I was completely exhausted. RAF270: I Got a COVID Test

It's amazing looking back knowing what I now know. I didn't include this cut, but I made a comment to the effect of "you'll never see me wear less than this." It was because I was embarrassed about my body. When I recorded the third episode of 2018, I was almost starving myself. Still taking it slow with the injury and getting back into the workout, so that's good. But this time I actually give you what I ate for the day, 2 apples and a small salad. Not necessarily a bad day, but that should not be the everyday diet. There was hope then, and there is hope now. I have done this before; I can do it now. Only now I can do it better. Slower, but healthier. Patience is not easy to come by, let's face it. That's the lesson I learn from episode 31.
