The short answer is...Exercise does not cause anxiety. Exercise will raise your heartbeat, which is normal. High-functioning anxiety is a term that has become increasingly popular in recent years. Although it is not an official diagnosis, it is often used to describe people who experience anxiety but are still able to function in their everyday lives. People with high functioning anxiety tend to be high achieves, often overachievers, who are constantly striving for perfection or sometimes just trying to stay busy. They may appear to have it all together on the outside, but underneath, they are often experiencing anxiety and often stay busy to not allow the mind to think about the worries and anxious thoughts. #75 How to support an Anxious loved one

Stop consuming too much anxiety content.  Find what works for you, if it's helping stick to that.  Don't over load yourself with reading about anxiety too much.  This can be counter productive.  Learn about the brain, learn, listen to your body, and then start doing the work.  Do not get consumed with too many techniques and theories.  This can create doubt and overwhelmed, which is not good for anxiety or the healing process.
