She must use her experience, what has she done in the past to get this plane in the air safely. Before he does that, there must be a structure in place and he is given that structure, that structure is called the standard day, meaning the ideal conditions in order to take that plane off, based on weather and weight and wind he–there is a very specific structure in order to take that plane off, off and get it off the ground. If the pilot waited for that ideal day to come around the standard day, how long do you think the pilot in that plane would remain on the runway waiting to take off? If you guess 6 to 9 months? You'd be close. Now we get upset when we wait an extra 15 minutes in a plane, imagine the pilot announcing that we have to wait for the perfect conditions in order to take off because the systems says so, we cannot exercise any common sense or any judgment whatsoever so therefore we will wait for the ideal day in order to take off and hope we don’t run out of water and hope we have plenty of batteries because it might be a while. Buy a system i.e you buy a franchise before that franchise can be successful you must have a structure in place, so what’s the difference? Structure means you're taking people and putting them in certain roles and giving them certain task, now that is different than a system because in the beginning you are not controlling 100% of everything they do, this is one of the hardest things to grasp in a business because you need to put people in place and with minimal training they have to serve the client and use initiative and their flexibility and along the way of putting people in place, putting people in that structure out of that you will begin to develop your systems. Much like an airplane that sits on a runway,  awaiting it’s time to take off. The pilot must use his common sense and the maximum amount of flexibility in order to get the plane and the cargo and the people in it in the air. He is given a system in the beginning, there is a system for having a plane take off and there is a structure and a checklist in order for that pilot to launch that plane into the air. In 2002 I start my coaching business, coaching and training kinda go hand in hand so you do a lot of workshops. 2007 I wanna do more–I wanna do more public speaking so my speaker coach says “you’ve got to go out and buy some suits,right?, go to Jos.A.Bank get the suits, get the signature series suit there thousand bucks buy two” and I was like wow alright I'm not the suit guy to start with you, I’m gonna spend a thousand bucks, I went alright so I go there, I buy two suits, 2500 dollars later with shirt and everything else, I walk out. Fast forward a few years and I start doing more TV work, okay. So, I appear on morning shows mostly and my  PR agent says to me “Carl, come here look at our youtube channel blue-gray, blue-gray, blue-gray, blue-gray, blue-gray it’s time for some new suits, go back to Jos.A.Bank here are your four colors, I want you to have four this time” oh okay. So, I go back to Jos.A.Bank getting pinned up and I say to the guy “you know I got to tell you, if you told me I was going to spend 4000 dollars on suits, I would have told you your were crazy” and he says “what 4 thousand? So yeah I have my coaching business, I have my speaking business, I invest in companies you know I have real estate and I’ve got that, that’s not all gonna happen on the same day you know and so you got to figure out how to do more than one thing at a time, you have a team here you already starting with that, your key–the key to your success will be and anyone successful will be thinking about how well can you multiply time, right? And how well can you share your guiding principles and be transparent and share your goals with others so they can help you get there, right? And so you have to be multitasking. I’m sorry this whole idea that you know I get it–I get all the signs that surround us say we do better for doing one thing at a time (yup), well if that was true then why do I drive down the road and everyone’s looking at their phones. No one would admit the texting on their phone but everyone’s doing it, right? Of course they are, you know I count it up once I’m driving on the road, I’m like you want me to put on my phone. Your reason is not a cash flow. You know he’s not a money manager right now that doesn’t exist in this world right now so you have to get outside the real world in order to make that his reality, understand what I mean? It just–it simple doesn’t exist. If you–if you're worth one hundred thousand dollars now and you wanna be worth a million, that million doesn’t exist, you can’t get it in the real world, you gotta get out the real world, get into your own world and say and start using million dollar ideas. You’re using hundred thousand dollar ideas that’s why you have a hundred thousand dollars. You know you wanna have five locations that sell scooters, you wanna have to have a mindset of multi location not single location, so you know what I mean. So, you have to get outside that and say alright tunnel focus, what’s gonna help me get this thing that doesn’t exist and make it real so that’s what–so entrepreneurs do everyday so you have to get outside that and that’s what I am trying to do as much as possible. So they joke with me and like so did you take your vitamins today or you know whatever–so I put in on there because the smart phones I think I’ve been and the recurring  appointment and technology has been one of the best things ever to help us organize our lives, our smart watches are getting there too just unbelievable but I’m–what I do at the beginning of every year is I plan all of my me stuff first and then I plan everything around that. So, I know what my vacation times are, I know what my rhythms are and I'm a–I’m like a two week guy, meaning I can go just about two weeks with almost no sleep but then— I need to get a couple of nights to really just you know get a couple of full nights sleep. So, I plan around that, so every two weeks I block out time for cause I know I’m going to need it and if I don’t need it I'm fine I won’t use it but I will plan that out. I surround myself by the books and stuff that I wanna read and I hang out with people who are better than me whatever it is that I do. Like and follow this podcast so you can learn more. Just a little over a one minute investment every day for a lifetime of results. Get up in the morning and I have a couple of routines. I do some stretching, I got some challenges with my back, I had an inversion table at home that I use but I’m listening to my goals, what’s important to me all morning. There’s certain music that I play, where the streets have no name, that was right, man in the box, I got some—I have music that keeps me going and then when we—when I get in the car in the morning or I’m getting ready I—I try to get 2 hour jump on anyone who’s on my team and I try to anticipate any problem or challenge that’s going to bubble up to my desk and I try to head it off to the past and I send out what I think or the direction for my team and then from there I start my day but I have started, typically, five or six o’clock in the morning. If I go to bed after midnight, which is pretty common, I’ll get up around 6, if I go to bed any time before midnight, I’ll up by 5 o’clock. Like and follow this podcast so you can learn more.
